1. Guideline for inpatient treatment
Morning from 07h00 - 12h00.
Afternoon from 15:00 to 21:00.
Saturday, Sunday and public holidays from 6:00 to 21:00.
2. Register for inpatient hospital admission
Health is the most precious capital of people, An Viet General Hospital always wants to give the best for customers. Below are some necessary inpatient information for clients in case inpatient treatment is required. Please read these instructions carefully for the best service.
After your consultation, if you are indicated for hospitalization, doctors and nurses will guide you to choose your room and make a deposit for hospitalization. The cost of hospital room is counted from the moment you are admitted until you return the room.
3. Hospitalization Procedure
When you are hospitalized, our medical staffs will instruct in details all the administrative procedures and regulations during your hospital stay.
- National insurance card or private insurance card (if any) (Must be shown within 24 hours after hospitalization).
- Identify card or Passport, Birth Certificate (for pediatric patients)
- Other medical records as required by doctors (Laboratory test and imaging results, prescriptions, etc.)
- After consent to use medical services, please deposit at the nearest Cashier counter:
Note: Actual expenses may differ from the estimated provided as additional costs sometimes may be incurred depending on your health condition, treatment method, medical materials and medications used during your stay. After consulting in Emergency Department or Outpatient Department, in case of being requested for admission, customer has to pay all the previous bills before admission.
4. Hospitalization time

5. During hospital stay
On hospitalization, patient is given the patient identification wristband with the informations: Name, Day of birth, patient code. Before the consultation of before performing any medical interventions, procedures, patient will be identified with at least 2 informations:
(1) Full name,
(2) Day of birth to avoid maximum all possible errors.
In order to ensure the safety of patients during treatment, the medical staffs will always accompany you to care for you, always ready to support you in any situation.
Whenever you need help, please press the alarm button at the bedhead or pull the toilet alarm in the bathroom.
Toiletries: Provided for daily use. All amenities provided during your stay, such as towels, clothes, scales, slippers, clothes hangers, etc., belong to the hospital. Please return them to the correct place after use and do not take them out of your room.
Drinking water is provided regularly. If additional hot water is required, please call Room Service/Nursing Staff for assistance.
In order to ensure the safety of patients during treatment, Customers using inpatient treatment services need to comply with the following regulations when staying at the hospital:
- It is necessary to strictly comply with the treatment and care orders of the treating doctor and medical staff. When something is not clear about treatment and care, ask your treating doctor and medical staff for clarification.
- Always be present at the ward during inpatient treatment, and when leaving the ward, the consent of the treating doctor and medical staff must be obtained. If the patient leaves the hospital, the patient must sign the medical record.
- Only use the emergency alarm (if any) when the patient has an abnormal situation or needs help from medical staff.
- Maintain borrowed properties and facilities in the ward. If lost, broken or damaged, compensation must be paid in accordance with the hospital's regulations. When there is a damaged vehicle, please notify the medical staff immediately.
- To save electricity and water, before leaving the room, please turn off all appliances in use (electricity, water, etc.). Do not bring cooking utensils, laundry, flammable materials into the patient room.
- Maintain general hygiene (patient rooms, corridors, restrooms, etc.). Keep order, be quiet, absolutely do not smoke in the ward.
- Family members visiting the sick person are not allowed to sit or lie on the hospital bed.
- Leave furniture and personal belongings in the correct position (in the drawer) according to regulations. The hospital has facilities to provide drinking water and medicine cabinets for patients, and it is recommended to limit bringing unnecessary items into the ward.
- Patients are responsible for paying hospital fees in accordance with state regulations and for services according to hospital regulations.
- When visiting patients, if bringing children under 12 years old, they must be accompanied by an adult, not more than 3 people in the ward.
We ensure to provide patients with an appropriate diet based on our nutritonist’s advice, 03 meals and 01 snacks are offered per day
Hospital fees: Hospital fees are calculated from the time of admission to the time of discharge. Hospital fees for 01 (one) day are calculated for 24 hours from 12 o'clock the previous day to 12 o'clock the next day.
In addition to the deposit, extra charge will be noticed to patients once per day. Cashier will also inform patients to add an amount of deposit if the actual fee exceeds the advance amount.Cashier will inform you when the receipt is made. Please make payment at the Cashier counter.
6. Discharge procedure
Discharge is processed in the morning.
- Upon discharge, patient will receive medical records including: Discharge Medical report, Laboratory test results, Imaging results, Prescription, etc.
- If you wish to take prescribed medications when discharge, please notify the nurses for administrative procedure. Medication costs are included in the total actual expenses.
